TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

To visit Vietnam a valid passport, expiring not earlier than 6 months prior to the date of the trip, and an entry visa are required. The latter, is issued by the Embassy, or at destination airport, provided that a certification, requested to our Agency at booking time, is issued and shown to immigration authorities in Vietnam. |
VACCINATIONS
|
No inoculation is compulsory, but a marsh fever prophylaxis is advisable. It is also convenient much carefulness in eating (in proper restaurants) and drinking (always bottled drinks, with no addition of ice). |

Local currency is the Dong (1 US Dollar = 17.40 Dongs; 1 EUR = 22.55 Dongs (April 21st, 2009). US Dollars are widely accepted around the country, credit cards and traveller’s cheques are generally accepted in hotels and restaurants |
CLIMATE

Vietnam has a tropical climate, with jhot and humid. The best period to visit the country is between October and April. Temperatures vary according to the altitude, from some 15ºC on the mountains to around 30ºC in the Mekong valley. |

Light informal clothing is suggested, with comfortable shoes and an anorak. |
