To visit Chile a valid passport, expiring not earlier than 6 months from date of arrival, is required. No visa is necessary for tourist trips, lasting up to three months

In Chile seasons are inverted compared to the northern hemisphere and the climate is very variable, due to the particular position of the country, closed between the ocean and the Andes, hot and dry in the desert north, cold and humid in the deep south. Easter Island, on the contrary, has a semitropical climate all the year long

Generally speaking, informal and comfortable clothing is advisable, and/or jumpers and anoraks depending from the area to be visited
