TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

To visit Cambodia a valid passport, expiring not earlier than 6 months from date of arrival, and an entry visa are required. The latter, on presentation of two passport photos, will be issued upon arrival at the airport and payable on spot.

VACCINATIONS

No inoculation is compulsory, but a marsh fever prophylaxis is advisable. It is also convenient much carefulness in eating (in proper restaurants) and drinking (always bottled drinks, with no addition of ice). |

Local currency is the Riel (1 USDollar = 4 Riels; 1 EUR = 5.25 Riels on April 21st, 2009). US Dollars are widely accepted around the country, while credit cards are generally accepted only in hotels.

Being a monsoon area, rainfalls are frequent and intense between May and October, the dry season being between November and April. Temperatures remain rather constant during the whole year, on the range of 26/30ºC. |

Light informal clothing is suggested, with comfortable shoes and an anorak. |

220 volt, but an adapter is necessary. |

|
Khmer is the official language, French is the most spoken foreign one. |
